Get to know each of our New FITgirls!

  My name is Brenda, and I've been scrapping for about 21 years.  I teach scrapbook and card classes in my home every month, and I so enjoy bringing new ideas to people!  Along with being an avid paper crafter, I am a wife and have an adult son.  My life and scrapping revolve around my family and our everyday activities.  We have two very spoiled pets - a beagle named Miss Chanel #5 and very sassy black cat named Sassy.  These two seem to make it on my pages quite often, too!  We Twin Cities area of beautiful Minnesota.

Hi everyone! My name is Brianna Marshall. I am a proud military wife to my high school sweetheart and stay-at-home mama to three amazing little girls. We move often, and I am currently residing in Maryland; but I was born and raised in the lovely state of Maine. I love all things crafty, but my main passions are photography and scrapbooking; thank goodness they go hand-in-hand. I also have a deep love for music, Starbucks white chocolate mocha espressos, hot baths, home design, walking barefoot (preferably in the spring), and meeting new scrappy friends

My name is Erin Blegen and I live in the woods of Northeastern Minnesota with my hubby Josh and 3 kids: Wyatt (4), Gunner (1), and Aspen (3 months). We enjoy just about anything the outdoors has to offer, including four wheeling, fishing, hunting, hiking, and swimming. I first tried my hand at scrapbooking in 2007 when my oldest son was born, but stopped after about 6 months and did not pick it up again until July 2010 when my second son was born. Since then, I've been hooked! I've really spent a lot of time developing my style and seem to waver between shabby/chic and artsy/messy (if there is such a thing!). I enjoy working with sketches in addition to doing my own thing, and because of amazing challenge sites such as ScrapFIT, I'm never short on ideas or inspiration. I'm so excited to be joining the ScrapFIT team and cannot wait to share my work here!!

I’m a 30+ something mom to a beautiful daughter who is married and currently away in basic training for the Army and I also have twin sons that are 19 and one is leaving shortly for the navy to be a pilot. I also have a son who is ten who is very active in travel hockey, and I have been married to the most amazing man for almost 14 years. We make our home in Illinois where we get to enjoy 4 beautiful seasons! I am a work at home mom, and would not have it any other way. I’ve been scrapbooking for over 15 years but have only become passionate about it in the past couple of years.
 Scrapbooking gives me a creative outlet to keep me focused and help me relax. When asked to describe my style it is always hard to pin down one style for me. My style is always changing depending on what papers I use or what pictures I am working with. I am one that is not afraid to try new techniques and supplies. I love creating paper crafts that have dimension. Before scrapbooking, I never would have considered myself to be crafty. Thanks for looking at my work.

My name is Keren Tamir and I'm 37 years old. I am a wife to a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my scrapbooking hobby and a mother of two amazing kids; a 10 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. I've been scrapbooking for 8 years and I mainly scrapbook about our family. I love to create and experiment with many different mediums and techniques. I get inspiration everywhere I go. I’m constantly thinking about scrapbooking and I design my layouts in my head usually while driving. I scrapbook at night when everyone is asleep because I love the inspiration you get when it’s quiet. I love my camera and I’m always taking many pictures everywhere I go.

My name is Lisa Watson and I've been scrapping for 9 years thanks to my wonderful husband who literally drove me to the first scrapbook store and got me started with this amazing hobby. It wasn't til the last 2 1/2 years that I have become completely OBSESSED with our fabulous hobby thanks to the world of online forums and blogs. I now scrap just about everyday and LOVE it! I have 3 kids which comprise the majority of my scrapping. My first love is creating layouts and capturing my families memories for years to come. However, I have also become a cardmaker and its fun to throw in some altered projects into the mix sometimes too. I am a contributing writer for Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine, a paper magazine available throughout Michigan scrapbook stores and retreats. Also I am proud to be on the DT for TaDa Creative Studios a paper manufacturer.

Hi! My name is Lynn and I live in Canada. I'm a wife and a mom to two wonderful kids Nicole who is 24 and Ryan who is 19. My daughter just got married  so I'm busy scrapping all her wedding photos which is just too much fun. I've been scrapbooking since the beginning of time when all there was available were paper, scissors and pens. Let's just say I've come a long way since those first albums. I love to try new things and play with different products. I'm usually covered in sparkles, glue dots and ink by the end of the day. When I'm not scrapping I work at an Extended Care facility working in Occupation/Recreational Therapy.  My job leaves me so fulfilled at the end of the day, it's my chance to "give back". I love to read, spend time with my friends and family, garden, bake, take long walks and play with our very spoiled puppy. I'm always on the lookout for a photo opportunity already thinking what paper would go with the photo. My favorite time of day is when my family comes and sits with me in my studio. They all support my artistic side and they love when they show up in layouts. So this is me.... I'm a scrappyhappymom.

My name is Shannon Morgan, I am a set in my ways Northern Girl transplanted to the South. I am very lucky to be a stay at home mom & have two kiddos who keep me on my toes. Paddy who is my sweet boy, lover of animals & all things Star Wars Clone Wars, he makes me laugh hysterically, pretty much every single day...Mackenzie is his younger sister who has a colorful, vast vocabulary, a wild imagination & never fails me in the laughter department. She can melt me with a smile. They are often complimented by their crazy dog sisters...Cinna (the house joke is that she is my favorite child & because of this will mysteriously disappear one day), she is the sweetest dog ever. Cinna is the most considerate, intuitive dog that I have ever met. And then there's Meg (lovingly known as Stupid Meg), who we are thoroughly convinced is a little person trapped in a dog body. She has been known to sit in intently on board games with Paddy & Mack...yet can be found happily running in circles or dragging herself down the hallway by her front legs....*sigh*. Rounding out our family is my doting husband who puts up with my scrapping obsession & insane need to watch tv in our room in closed caption at night when I can't sleep, but am too comfy to go watch tv in the family room. I love to chronicle our everyday adventures & as Mackenzie likes to say, "Collect our memories."...I think it's more like hoard them. :) If for some chance I am not scrapping or creating some sort of paper good...you can find me reading, nose buried deep in a book, or baking...& then pretending to exercise said baked goods by leisurely walking through our neighborhood. ;)

I have been scrapbooking for nearly 13 years.  My style has definitely evolved over the years but I think I have always stayed pretty true to myself and enjoy going back and looking at my work.  I’ve been married for 15 years and have 2 busy boys who are the primary source of my inspiration.   We enjoy the outdoors and LOVE summer---just wish it lasted longer where we live.  I exercise regularly and have recently discovered that I enjoy running. I love picnics, outdoor concerts and a steaming cup of fresh coffee in the mornings.  I am primarily a SAHM, but am also a nurse.  After the birth of my 2nd son, I took a position that allows me to work just a day or two a week.

Returning FITgirls

 Hi, I’m Tracey, and so excited to be staying on as a FITgirl for a second term. This summer my wonderful husband and I will be married for 30 years. We have 4 children from 17 to 24. Our son was married in December and only our youngest daughter still lives at home. In the middle are our two lovely daughters who have an apartment together. We live in rural Ohio on the top of a big hill. Surrounding our 4 acre clearing are gorgeous woods and wildlife. My life revolves around my family and my faith, which you will find reflected in my scrapping. I home educated our children for 19 years retiring from that responsibility this year, freeing up more time for scrapbooking.

I started scrapbooking in 2007 when our church started a scrapbooking night. As a former crafter – sewing, beading, cross stitching, knitting, sewing . . . I enjoy employing my crafty skills in my scrapbooking. I’m also a technique junkie, always looking for something new to try on my pages. Because I like to try new things, you never know what kind of page I might come up with.  I do enjoy combining grungy masculine elements with flowers and bling. I am so honored to be working with this fabulous group of FITgirls!

I'm wifey to my hot hubby, Jeremy for over 12 years, and mom to my wonderful, 3 cute kids who keep me super busy. I work part time doing account payable at the school district office, coach my kids soccer teams, and keep busy with scrapbooking. I LOVE creating both pages and cards, and enjoy altering whatever I can. I LOVE my ipod and itunes, I'm a HUGE Depeche Mode fan, love to walk, and hang out in the backyard with my kids.
